About Me
I am interested in creating media that integrates design and technology. I find visual storytelling to be interesting when it is intuitive and human. Something that is easily understood by anyone who views it, but also has levels of meaning as they continue to explore it. A lot of my work in creating media has been focused on exploring how design influences our experience of digital spaces, our ability to communicate ideas, and our relationship to the information that is being seen. I am very interested in media that combines structure and creativity, such as UI/UX design, digital graphics and interactive layouts which help guide users through a enjoyable experience rather than overwhelm them.
My process often begins with an observation of the way in which people interact with technology, what captures their attention, and what prevents them from understanding. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple and understandable concepts. I do this by focusing on the layout, color, and typography and ensuring it is eligible to the viewer. I work with tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe, and code with front-end programming languages. However, I am interested and open to expand my practice to include more interactive and animated elements. Overall, my goal as a designer is to create work that feels thoughtful, accessible, and intentional.
